Agenda: How code-freeze (switch from development mode into bugfixing mode)
IT Mill Toolkit 5.0.0-beta deadline is 4th of December 2007.
We are still doing major development on the product. Currently TRAC contains over 70 tickets. Each development change brings new bugs. We need to do a code-freeze soon to make sure that release does not contain too many (or big) bugs.
We must
1. Collect all known development tasks (some are missing from Trac)
2. Careful prioritizing of development tickets
- make hard design compromises
- drop development tasks that cannot be finished within one week'''
3. Create milestone when code-freeze starts
- everyone switches from development mode into bugfixing mod
- any development is not allowed unless two of the team agree that it's really worth it
4. Quick prioritizing of known defect tickets
- currently this list changes constantly because we are still in development mode
Remember first Toolkit release is not final, we will re-design it.
