Description

This is a major bug that has been around for years. Correcting this bug makes validators use feasible and powerful (with ajax).

The change [4488] introduced some Java 1.4 incompatibilities, fixed quickly in [4490]. The fix disables some test code. One warning remains. Please fix better if you consider it necessary.

This is great change but it makes a lot of validation code obsolete in applications. Document clearly when 5.2.0 is released.

Now that this is AUTOMATIC, there should be a way to disable it!. Check the test-case with invalidAllowed property.

I also noticed that "required"-property doesn't do anything. It should probably make look different in ui?
