I've made an simple scalability study program which could be used as study's "facts and numbers" data source.

Consider using JMeter for this, it is an excellent tool for this kind of task.

Need to figure out better requirements for this, e.g. what hardware do we use for this?

For now we haven't bumped with scalability issues with thousands of concurrent users Toolkit. We should find out some kind of maximum for some reference hardware / application combo used.

Yrityksen järjestämässä tulevan tuotteen ennakkoesittelytilaisuudessa Helsingissä nousi esiin kysymys tuotteen skaalautuvuudesta. Yritys sopi Sun Microsystems (USA) kanssa tuotteen sovittamisesta ja koekäytöstä Sunin uudella 64 bittisellä Solaris-alustalla ja on tätä tarkoitusta varten saanut yhteistyökumppaniltaan testikäyttöön vakioidun palvelimen.

Tässä osaprojektissa on tarkoitus mitata tuotteen suorituskykyä vakioidussa ympäristössä, korjata tuotteessa mahdollisesti esiintyviä skaalautuvuusongelmia ja kirjoittaa tuotteen skaalautuvuudesta testausraportti jota on mahdollista käyttää myös tuotteen markkinoinnissa.
