Setting Table page length resets current scroll position

Description
Table setPageLength() sets setCurrentPageFirstItemIndex(0). Is there some reason for this? It is not obvious that setting the page length has such a side effect, so accidentally setting the scroll position before setting the page length makes you think that the setCurrentPageFirstItemIndex() doesn't work.
